Lionel Messi, record breaker: Barca star has more goals than his team-mates put together

Three-and-a-half months after Lionel Messi's last away goal in La Liga, he struck again and did it in style, with a hat-trick in the Riazor in Barcelona's 4-0 win over Deportivo de la Coruna.

Messi showed his clear importance to the team and now it's a fact that he's scored more goals for Barcelona than the rest of the squad put together.

The Argentine genius has scored 382 goals in the Blaugrana shirt: 262 in La Liga, 75 in the Champions League, 30 in the Copa del Rey, 10 in the Spanish Super Copa, four in the Club World Cup and one in the European Super Cup.

Meanwhile, the rest of his team-mates have scored a total of 369 goals between them for Barcelona.

Against Deportivo, Messi has increased his collection of goalkeepers he has scored against, with Fabricio, the Galician's side keeper, becoming the 109th.

And the the keeper he has beaten the most? Real Madrid's Iker Casillas, with 19 balls put past the Spaniard.

He also netted his 22nd hat-trick in league football, since making his debut in professional football 14 years ago. That's the 33rd triple he's hit since he started playing.

Messi has three in La Liga this season, scoring one against Sevilla, Espanyol and then against Deportivo. He also has five in the Champions League, the most in that competition's history.
