Jordi Vinyals is the preferred choice to replace Eusebio as Barça B boss

With Andoni Zubizarreta as sporting director, Eusebio Sacristan's job as Barça B boss was in little danger. Zubi's confidence in him was maximum. 

But after the former goalkeeper was fired earlier this month, things have changed. A lot of things. At Barcelona there are many things about Eusebio's work that people don't like. 

For that reason, for several weeks now the club have been working on a plan in the case that they decide not to continue with Eusebio. In fact, he was already handed an ultimatum before the recent win over Sabadell.

After coming through that game, though, Barça B returned to losing ways. And painfully. Not as badly as against Valladolid, but a tough defeat without doubt. 

Barça's plan before the Sabadell win was to replace Euesbio with Jordi Vinyals, the manager of Juvenil A. It's true that their season is not going especially well either, buth the club have a lot of confidence in Vinyals.

He understands all the players in Barça B because they have all passed through his side previously. They know him well and the adaption period would be quick. 

On top of that, this season aside, his work with the club's youngsters means he merits the chance to take on Barça B. 

If Vinyals is chosen, it would provoke an important revolution in the club's academy, because it would produce movement throughout the chain, with many coaches possibly being promoted. 

For example, Garcia Pimienta would become Juvenil A boss, Quique Alvarez Juvenil B, Franc Artiga Cadete A etc etc.
