Since fans request that the title be included in the backwards compatibility program, Microsoft has let it out that "Call of Duty: Black Ops" will be an Xbox One-playable title before February ends.

According to Express, the detail slipped out in a conversation with Xbox customer support. Reportedly, "Call of Duty: Black Ops" will be unlocked this month, Monday at the latest. This supposed confirmation is the latest in the rumors that Microsoft is finally releasing the original "Black Ops" title as an Xbox One-playable game. Previously, it was reported that some fans claimed seeing the title in the Xbox One Store in Spain, together with the expansion pack for the first game.

The industry follower also reiterated that Microsoft has no choice but to eventually release "Call of Duty: Black Ops" as a game for the backwards compatibility program for the Xbox One. The title, along with other "Call of Duty" games, continues to dominate the top ten lists and polls for games that remain as fan favorites. On the list, "Black Ops" is included in the top ten, alongside all of the "Modern Warfare" series for "Call of Duty." The top spot, meanwhile, is dominated by "Black Ops II."

Meanwhile, according to Youth Health Mag, other titles are also set to join "Call of Duty: Black Ops" as recent releases for the Xbox One backwards compatibility program. The industry follower mentioned titles under the "Bioshock" franchise, "Trials HD," "Lego Batman: The Videogame," and an "Alan Wake" game.

With "Call of Duty: Black Ops" already confirmed to be making the backwards compatibility games list, some fans are wondering when Microsoft will have other triple-A titles join the list. The company recently changed its schedule for the backwards compatibility program. Now, instead of having a monthly release of games, the list is expanded with other titles as soon as they become available.
