Love Thy Neighbor Pt 2

Donation protected
Hey Everyone! Tis that time of year again! A Time for Giving & I'm hoping everyone will help me out w/ this as we did last year. Last year we saved my recently widowed single mother neighbor & her 2 kids avoid eviction on Christmas, and my oh so nice landlords are at it again this year, with not 1 but 2 of my single parent neighbors. They served each of them their legal eviction papers the day before Thanksgiving & I want to try and help them in any way we can. Anything we can raise of the total will help in any way. I never expect to raise it all, but if there's anything we can do to help them let's try. Last month it was also me trying to avoid this and in turn it's someone else now.

I went over to both neighbors to see what their costs were for all this.

John and his son's rent that's passed due is $1086 + $500 legal eviction fee (horrible on top of horrible)

Tabitha & her daughter's rent that's passed due is $1146 + $500 legal eviction fee.

Total amount for all this is $3232

And i rounded up to $3500 cuz GoFundMe will take out their fee for helping us raise the funds which will be close to $300 taken out.

John works full time, and Tabitha works 2 jobs, but just fell behind with slow months and expenses, etc. They think they can come up with some of Decembers' rent if we can just catch up their passed due to keep this legally from going through during the Holiday season. This always tuggs at my heart and i don't want anyone to be homeless or anything at Christmas, and that's what it looks like will happen if we can't help them.

In addition like last year I can also gather up something for the kid's for christmas if anyone wants to donate things like that. John's son is 8 is into Star Wars, Trucks & Cars.  Tabitha's daughter is 5 and is into dolls, and helping her mother out cook things. So any of those play kitchen things, easy bake, etc. Both kids love to color and draw. There were papers with drawings in crayon by the girl laying in front of the TV.

Both get aid from the state and have food. That of course was my first question. :) I wanted to make sure they had things to eat. Both partents  get assistance in that so they have food. They also get help with some of their electrical stuff, and gas/water is included in their rent.

They've contacted city officials about the eviction process that is going on and seeing if there's anything they can do to slow it down and/or make sure what the owners are doing in the timely manner that they are doing is legal, etc. I think they have that covered. I gave them links online to submit everything and they were already way ahead of me :)

I also contacted the manager of my bldg like I did last year and told her that I was trying to do this, and hopefully they are going to help in assistance in any way they can without getting in too much trouble with the owners :)

Again, I'm not expecting to raise all this, but if we can it'd be amazing. Any portion that we can raise will help them in avoiding this at the Holidays.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and helping out in any way you can. Thank you in advance for helping spread the word.

Grateful & Blessed for all of you and anything you can do to help them! I had to at least try after I found out what was going on!
