Faith sure works in mysterious ways some times, because yesterday we sent a Q and A interview to Attic Door Productions for their upcoming horror/puzzle/adventure game “The 13th Doll”. And the very last question that I asked the dev´s was the following:
“At this very moment there is about 16 days left on the 13th Doll´s Kickstarter campaign, and right now there´s less than $6,000 missing. So what do you think about your chances of reaching your Kickstarter goal on time?
And if you do, what´s the plans for the future?” – Robin Ek, TGG
And the answer is of course yes, because in less than 48 hours “The 13th Doll” has collected those missing $6,000 (the goal was to collect $40,000). I found out about this less than 30 minutes ago, as Chris Weitzel (one of the devs) tweeted out the following to us:
So not only does this mean that “The 13th Doll” is home safe (as it´s 100% funded on Kickstarter), it also means that there´s now a handful of stretch goals for “The 13th Doll” (as seen down below).
And due to the fact that there is still 15 days left on the 13th Doll´s Kickstarter campaign. I´m quite sure that the game will manage to reach some of those stretch goals with no sweat.

I just had one hell of a flashback just now. Because I still remember when I used to play Trilobyte´s interactive movie puzzle/adventure horror game “7th Guest” when I was really young. Sure, the game may not be a top-notch game experience anymore. However, back in 1993 “7th Guest” became an instant cult classic among Gamers worldwide (even though its been over 22 years since the game got released). And 7th Guest still has an active fan base and community to this very day. That´s also one of the main reasons behind why Attic Door Productions has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their puzzle/adventure horror game “The 13th Doll” (the original team behind 7th Guest has blessed “The 13th Doll“.
That´s great news for sure. There´s a catch to all of this though. As Attic Door Productions needs to collect $40,000 on Kickstarter in-order to make “The 13th Doll” happen for real. Attic Door´s are doing really great so far´though, because there´s “just” $30,000 missing at the moment (with 29 days left on the Kickstarter campaign). So I’m quite sure that the “13th Doll” will make it on time. Well, I really hope so at least. As I like the idea of being able to play a 7th Guest inspired kind of game again.
I should also point out that “The 13th Doll” has been blessed by the original team behind “7th Guest.” So yes, you guessed it. “The 13th Doll” is true to the “7th Guest” universe (both visually and gameplay wise). And as I’m getting some good vibes from the “13th Doll” project, I wish Attic Door Productions the best of luck with their kickstarter campaign!
