Students at Coral Springs High School were evacuated to the football field on the campus Friday morning because of what police describe as “power issues.”

Additionally, some of the students who were outside were being treated for heat-related illnesses, police said.

The incident was unfolding one day after more than a dozen students at the school were treated for dehydrations symptoms during an outdoor concert.

In that incident, 14 students were seen by paramedics and three of those were taken to two area hospitals.

At the time, the High School Nation Tour of music and other entertainment was taking place at the school at 7201 W. Sample Road.
