CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish will discuss his first two months in office at an upcoming meeting of the Brook Park Democratic Club.

Budish is scheduled to appear on Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post 610, 19944 Sheldon Rd. in Brook Park, according to Anthony D'Amico, a city councilman and club president.

D'Amico said he invited Budish, a Democrat who took office on Jan. 1, to address the club, and he agreed.

"This is the first two months of a new county executive," D'Amico said. "I thought it would be a great thing to bring him as our first speaker of the year."

Budish's term so far has been low-key, with no major policy initiatives as he's focused on assembling and restructuring his top-level staff.

Budish has made regular appearances before local organizations -- nearly all of which were not promoted in advance by the county -- such as the First Unitarian Church in Shaker Heights on Jan. 18, the United Way of Greater Cleveland on Jan. 29, a consortium of local inner-ring suburbs on Jan. 30 and the Downtown Cleveland Alliance on Friday.
